So I got just a teeny bit distracted and strayed from my list just a little. Chocolate covered raisins, GF Bagels and the rice cheese. I don't need any of them, but Sprouts always wraps me around her little finger. I'm a little embarrassed to say that I've never realized how expensive my shampoo is. Wow. $12! One new thing I'm trying this week: frozen concentrated juice. Bought a plastic jug and I'm going to see if I save any extra money this week. I might consider doing this with generic bagged cereal as well. But will need to buy one of thsoe plastic jugs a week. They're a bit spendy. Otherwise, pretty uneventful trip.

But...Dove shampoo is the best! LOL! You deserve a little luxury. ;)

I've never heard of rice cheese before? Is that better than soy cheese? I don't think Down to Earth carries the rice one, at least I haven't seen it. Maybe Wholefoods has it. I love cheese but I can't seem to enjoy soy cheese that much. The consistency is different.

Cubby, I've always been a Pantene girl until I tried Dove. I'm not going back if I can help it.

Unless I need to give up my chocolate covered raisins...well...I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. :-)

My friend Sara (Life as we know it...) is lactose intolerant and told me about it. I found it at Sprouts, but she said it's in the soy area of her regular store. It's gluten, dairy and soy-free. I will say the texture and flavor was "off" (when I just ate a slice), like many soy cheeses. But melted in/on my lasagna last night just fine. I was going for a nice melty texture and it worked. I think the flavor of all the sauce and sausage masked the taste.

But the lasagna was such a winner that I'me excited about eating my leftovers today. LOL!

Can't help but chuckle. If I were to take a picture of OUR groceries I would need to use a panoramic lens!

Our average weekly grocery bills run between $130-$150. BUT we front load lots of things in a monthly trip to S*A*M*S OR C*O*S*T*C*O. That trip is roughly $350 and comprises the bulk of meats, cereals, breads, canned good, pastas, etc.

My visit to the wholesaler was $86 and contained 9 essential items...most importantly the ginormous dishwasher detergent we were out of!

Just so you know, your chocolate covered raisin splurges rubbed off on me just now...I saw some on sale for 99 cents a package and grabbed it! I've been wanting some ever since you posted about them...yummy! I wasn't sure if you had to get "special" ones, or I would have bought you some too! :)
